Price Monitoring
The Ministry has a role in monitoring electricity prices. We currently undertake a quarterly survey of domestic electricity prices (QSDEP) accompanied by an analysis of discounts and distributions made by lines companies.
In addition, we undertake an annual survey of domestic and commercial electricity prices. From time to time, we publish reports on electricity prices.
Schedule of Domestic Electricity Prices
The Schedule of Domestic Electricity Prices is a source of comparative line and retail price information.
Discount and Distribution Analysis
The Discount and Distribution Analysis is produced quarterly, coinciding with the release of the Schedule of Domestic Electricity Prices.
Annual Survey of Line and Retail Charges
Figures represent the average retail charge paid by the consumer and the component of that charge which can be attributed to lines company and transmission charges.
Electricity Pricing Reports
On 27 January 2004, the Minister of Energy released two reports on electricity prices.
