Contracts
All-of-Government / Sector Contracts
As part of the Government Procurement Reform programme announced in June 2009, all-of-government and sector contracts are being established to achieve greater efficiencies in the way common goods and services are procured across government. These contracts will streamline the purchasing process for agencies and eliminate the need for suppliers to respond to multiple tenders.
In year one of the reform, Centres of Expertise (yet to be announced) will establish contracts by 30 June 2010 in the following spend areas:
- IT equipment (desktops, laptops, peripherals and multi-functional devices)
- passenger vehicles; and
- stationery.
Public Service departments and State Services agencies will be required and agencies in the wider State sector will be encouraged to use these contracts.
