Ministerial Review of Electricity Market Performance 2009
On 1 April 2009, the Minister of Energy and Resources initiated a review of the electricity market to address concerns around security of supply, the affordability of electricity, and electricity sector governance. The review is being undertaken by the Electricity Technical Advisory Group and the Ministry of Economic Development.
On 12 August 2009, the Minister released a discussion paper setting out the review team's preliminary recommendations for improving electricity market performance for public consultation. Submissions closed on Wednesday, 16 September 2009.

Submissions to Electricity Market Review
Submissions were invited by 16 September 2009 on the proposals set out in the discussion paper. The government received 128 submissions on the proposal, which can be viewed in PDF format.
