This section draws together tourism data and specially commissioned pieces of research into topic based areas. Topics are Behaviour and Characteristics, Economic Contribution, Forecasts & Trends and Special Interest Topics.
Datasets
This section contains the core tourism surveys, including reports and analysis, data tables and background details about the surveys. The surveys are International Visitor Arrivals, International Visitor Survey, Commercial Accommodation Monitor and the Domestic Travel Survey.
Regional Data
This section includes reports, analysis and data on tourism to individual regions of New Zealand. It also contains forecast figures at the Regional Tourism Operator (RTO) level.
Research Index
The Research Index is a freely searchable catalogue of New Zealand tourism research, both published and in progress. There are around 1,500 entries in the index, with more added each day. You can do a quick search by keywords or an advanced search over specific fields.
