The Ministry provides policy advice on environmental issues with a focus on a business perspective, and the quality of environmental regulation.

We advise on climate change issues from an economic perspective, sustainable energy policy, water allocation, as well as HSNO and RMA issues.

We also manage New Zealand's relationship with, and participation in, the International Energy Agency and APEC processes.
