Energy Modelling
The Ministry undertakes energy supply and demand modelling and produces projections of future energy supply, demand, prices and emissions for various scenarios. This supports the development of energy and environmental policies, as well as meeting New Zealand's reporting obligations under the Kyoto Protocol.
Special analyses addressing energy-related issues of current interest, are published as background papers, or used by government departments and others to provide valued input to policy development, resource assessment and investment opportunities.
