This publication updates New Zealand's projected quantity of emissions and removals of greenhouse gases during the first commitment period (2008-2012) of the Kyoto Protocol. Projections for the energy and industrial processes sectors are from the Ministry of Economic Development.
Energy Sector CO2 Projections to 2020 - Interim Update
The scenarios presented in this paper are an interim update on the New Zealand Energy Outlook to 2025 and previous CO2 projections in April 2004. The results are a product of modelling the complex interactions of the New Zealand energy sector.
New Zealand's Future CO2 Emissions: Excluding Coal-Fired Generation
This paper presents projections of New Zealand's CO2 emissions (assuming there will be no coal-fired electricity generation) using the Ministry's energy supply and demand model.
The paper Energy Sector CO2 Projections to 2020 - Interim Update presents an interim update to the New Zealand Energy Outlook to 2025 (as released in October 2003). The paper was written in June 2005 for inclusion in the Annual Report on Climate Change Policy Implementation 2004/2005, and constitutes Annex 2 of that report.
