Plants Variety Rights
The Plant Variety Rights Office (PVRO) administers the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987. This act grants plant variety rights that may be issued to breeders for their new plant varieties.
Plant variety rights give breeders control over the commercialisation of their varieties helping them to obtain a financial return from their efforts and investment.
The PVRO provides the ability to search for information about specific plant variety rights.
