Submissions
The period in which to make submissions has now closed.
The review comprised a process of calling for submissions from interested parties, posting these on a website and inviting cross-submissions. The questions posed for submitters came from the review's terms of reference.
Forty-seven submissions were received in the first round, and 12 cross-submissions were received.

Summary of Submissions
Summary of the submissions received on the Electricity Post Winter Reivew which reviewed the way that New Zealand's electricity system functioned during winter 2001.
Submissions will be posted on this site unless:
- there is good reason, pursuant to the Official Information Act, to withhold the information; and
- that good reason outweighs the desirability, in the public interest, of making the information available.
The grounds for withholding information are set out in the Act. The grounds include that information may be protected:
- where the making available of the information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information; or
- where the information is subject to an obligation of confidence, and where the making available of the information would be likely to prejudice the supply of similar information, or information from the same source, and it is in the public interest that such information should continue to be supplied.
Should you wish any material to be withheld, please indicate the grounds for withholding. Please note that the decision on whether to release material rests with the Minister or Ministry, and that any decision to withhold information is subject to appeal to the Ombudsman.
