Sustainable Development

Status:Archived

The Ministry seeks to ensure that the business environment promotes a higher rate of sustainable income growth for New Zealanders.

We apply a growth focus to all our work and assist the Government to develop and implement policies and services that promote sustainable economic growth.

The Ministry encourages all government agencies to maintain a focus on income growth, and seeks to ensure that policies aimed at achieving non-economic objectives assist - or at least do not detract from - efforts to improve income growth. Conversely, we collaborate and consult with other agencies to ensure that its work assists the pursuit of other economic, social and environmental outcomes.
