Crown Entities and Other Boards
The Ministry provides advice to government on a number of Crown entities and statutory boards. This includes advice on appointments, roles and functions, and on the overall contribution of each organisation to the government's policy objectives.

Organisational Structure
The Organisational Development and Support branch (OD&S) provides specialist advice on organisational development, legal, finance and facilities management, communications, risk management and knowledge management issues.

Strategic Leadership Team
The SLT role is to collaborate on the development of the Ministry’s economic development strategy, and to support the Chief Executive in developing the organisation, so the Ministry has the capability to meet its goals.

The Ministry works directly for the Ministers of Commerce, Communications and Information Technology, Consumer Affairs, Economic Development, Energy and Resources, Small Business, Tourism, Rugby World Cup and Regulatory Reform.
