This annual publication provides a picture of energy sector emissions for the calendar years 1990-2008. Emission estimates are derived for the direct greenhouse gases carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). Also included are estimates of carbon dioxide emissions from chemical processes used in industrial production. The inventory has a base year of 1990.
