Scamwatch

Scamwatch [link to MCA website] is an online service operated by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs to warn New Zealand consumers about specific types of scams from overseas sources, including Nigerian scams and other types of investment scams, prize and lottery scams, astrology and psychic scams and pyramid schemes.
The Ministry also provides information on how to spot different types of scams. To keep up to date on scams in global circulation the Ministry stays in regular contact with overseas consumer agencies.
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs does not have enforcement powers to investigate local or overseas scams.
Scams can be reported to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs using an online form.
