Current Permit Holders for the Import and Export of Hazardous Waste

The permit process ensures that destination facilities of hazardous waste destined for disposal or recovery in New Zealand or abroad comply with the Basel Convention's requirements to ensure the waste is treated in an environmentally sound manner.
