Short Description
On 17 April 2009 the Minister for Communications and Information Technology called for public submission on Telecom's proposed variation of the company's Operational Separation Undertakings.
On 17 April 2009 the Minister for Communications and Information Technology called for public submission on Telecom's proposed variation of the company's Operational Separation Undertakings.
The proposed variation related to Telecom's ability to facilitate more efficient delivery of services to its wholesale customers.
The Operational Separation Undertakings, which had the effect of splitting Telecom into three separate business units, came into effect on 31 March 2008. The need for a process to allow variation of the Undertakings was envisaged at the time they were developed.
The government received 5 submissions on the proposal (which can be viewed in PDF format from the table below).
On 17 June 2009, the Minister agreed to the variation.
