Credit-Employment Business Survey

Short Description A report into the findings of the credit and employment survey (CES) conducted by the Ministry of Economic Development in February 2009.

This survey was developed by MED, with input from the Treasury, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the impact of the current economic situation on New Zealand businesses.  In particular, information was needed regarding credit and regarding employment, specifically for the government’s Employment Summit, held on 28 February 2009.

The survey was circulated through business networks and was able to be completed on-line with a closing date in mid February 2009.

A second installment of the survey was circulated in late May 2009.  However, the response rate was inadequate and no conclusions were able to be drawn from it.
