Energy In Brief was added to suite of annual publications to complement the more comprehensive Energy Data File and Energy Greenhouse Gas Emissions report. Energy in Brief provides a handy pocket-sized summary and concise graphical representation of key energy data in a user friendly format. |

The Energy Domain Plan is published. This is an initiative led by Statistics New Zealand in conjunction with the Ministry of Economic Development and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority which assessed the state of energy data and proposed initiatives to fill any gaps |

The latest edition of New Zealand's Energy Outlook to 2030 is published. Energy Outlook has been published about every three years and is designed to be a starting point for anyone wanting to become more informed about the energy choices New Zealand faces. It includes 25-year projections of New Zealand's energy future under a variety of assumptions.
The purpose of the 2006 edition of the Energy Outlook was expanded to help to inform New Zealand's energy policy debate and development of the New Zealand Energy Strategy. |

The latest edition of New Zealand Energy Greenhouse Gas Emissions 1990-2006 published. This annual publication provides a picture of energy sector emissions since 1990. Emission estimates are derived for the direct greenhouse gases carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). Also included are estimates of carbon dioxide emissions from chemical processes used in industrial production.
The information contained in this report is also used for New Zealand's Greenhouse Gas Inventory and the Net Position Report. |

First edition of the New Zealand Energy Quarterly released. This publication replaces Statistics New Zealand's Energy Hot Off The Press and provides quarterly statistics and trend data on the supply of major fuel types, electricity generation, greenhouse gas emissions and fuel prices. |

The latest edition of the New Zealand Energy Data File released. This annual publication provides comprehensive statistics and supporting information on New Zealand's energy supply, demand and prices, mostly as national aggregates. It includes annual data from 1974, with quarterly data and annual balances for the most recent years.
The 2008 edition includes a new section on the commercial and industrial use of heat based on surveys commissioned by the Bioenergy Association of New Zealand. |
