On 1 May 2007, the Minister of Communications invited comment on Telecom's structural separation proposal. Telecom's proposal was submitted in response to the government's consultation document on the operational separation of Telecom.

The Minister of Communications invites written views and comments on Telecom's structural separation proposal to be submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday 15 May 2007. Telecom's proposal was submitted in response to the government's consultation document on the operational separation of Telecom released on 5 April 2007.
The Ministry prefers written comments to be provided by email to operationalseparation@med.govt.nz.
