The report has been placed on hold pending development of the New Zealand Energy Strategy and work on Transitional Measures for the electricity and stationary energy supply sectors. Comments are therefore not sought on this document at this time. Stakeholders will be advised of the next stages in the process of development of a National Policy Statement/National Environment Standards for electricity generation at a later date.
It should be kept in mind when reading this report that a potential National Policy Statement on electricity generation developed within the context of the New Zealand Energy Strategy may have a different focus to this report of the Reference Group.
