This report has been compiled by the Reference Group on Electricity Transmission.

The Reference Group on Electricity Transmission comprises Mike Lear (Chair), (Ministry of Economic Development), Phil Gurnsey (Ministry for the Environment), Doug Heinz (Te Puni Kōkiri), Godfrey Gloyn (Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry), Sharron Came (Treasury), Paul Stigley and Denise Young (Department of Conservation), Peter Whitehouse (Business New Zealand),¹ Nath Pritchard (Local Government New Zealand), Jenny Chetwynd (Transpower New Zealand Ltd), Catherine Petrey (Federated Farmers of New Zealand Inc), Andrew Jefferies (Electricity Commission).

The Reference Group was assisted by Gerard Willis, Enfocus Ltd.

While this report is the result of a joint drafting process involving those persons identified above, not all members of the Reference Group agree with all parts of this report. Views are recorded in the report as necessary to reflect differences of opinion.
