Conclusion
The Ministry of Commerce will carefully consider all the feedback from Maori on the patenting of life forms issue, including the information provided by the Focus Group. The Ministry of Commerce will then submit proposals to the Government for its consideration, as outlined in Appendix I - Process for Amending the Patents Act 1953.
