Consultation
34. This paper was prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development. The Commerce Commission, Electricity Commission, Ministry of Transport, and the Treasury were consulted on this Cabinet paper and RIS and their comments have been taken into account. The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet was informed.
35. Interested parties have been consulted through a discussion paper. Thirteen submissions were received on the proposed levy design. One was a group submission on behalf of 22 electricity lines businesses, another from the industry group representing all electricity lines businesses. The views of submitters have been considered and taken into account in the proposed design.
