Enterprising Partnerships Fund (EPF)
Project Size
The EPF can support commercially driven projects that help to implement the regional strategy. Projects must align with national strengths, be of national significance and offer substantial economic development benefits, but are not limited to large-scale projects.
For example a mid-sized project with a total cost of $1 million may be supported by up to $700,000 of EPF funding.
Proposal Development
RSF funding can support the substantial background work involved with applying to the EPF, provided the work is part of the regional strategy's implementation, is in the area of enterprise and innovation and is not more appropriately funded by another central government agency. This might include funding for research, analysis and business case development.
Early Concept Discussion
Before developing a project for funding, potential applicants to the EPF should talk with their NZTE Regional Economic Development Manager. With a clear understanding of the EPF criteria and approval process, the applicant can be confident in the quality of the EPF proposal and reduce the risk, and costs, of a failed application.
