Once Cabinet has reached a decision on this paper and the other accompanying papers on the Review of Financial Products and Providers, I will release a press statement to signal to the public the Government's policy decisions in this area. Targeted consultation will then be undertaken on an exposure draft of the Bill later this year so that members of the public with expertise in the financial sector area will have a chance to comment on the proposals at a more detailed level.
