SMEs in New Zealand: Structure and Dynamics

SMEs account for one third of New Zealand's outputUsing sales and other income as a measure of the contribution of SMEs to total output in the economy, we can see from figure 7 that SMEs account for 33 percent of total sales, with small enterprises employing 0-5 FTEs making up just over half of this.
