Expected Deliverables
15. The New Zealand Energy Strategy will deliver the following:
- A long-term strategic view out to 2050;
- Clear strategic priorities to provide focus for government and market actions;
- Improved certainty about the future policy and regulatory environment to promote a favourable investment climate;
- Policies to address greenhouse gases in the energy sector;
- Key areas and direction for investment in energy innovation and efficient energy use; and
- Stakeholder buy-in and cooperation to galvanise action of government, industry and the community behind strategic priorities.
