Renewables Preference Policy
The following papers are released in support of the draft Climate Change (Emissions Trading and Renewables Preference) Bill that was introduced to Parliament on 4 December 2007.
The released papers include the supporting Cabinet papers and associated decisions recorded in the Cabinet minutes. Also included are copies of the advice letters sent by the Minister of State Owned Enterprises to the three state-owned generators prior to the introduction of the Bill.
Interested parties will be able to make submissions during the Select Committee process early in 2008. The closing date for submissions to the relevant parliamentary select committee is currently Friday 29 February 2008. Potential submitters should check the parliamentary website for current details and guidance on making submissions.
