The Ministry of Economic Development is the primary source of energy production and generation statistics.
As a result, the New Zealand Energy Quarterly replaces Statistics New Zealand's "Hot Off the Press on Energy" and joins the Ministry's suite of regular energy publications.
It provides quarterly energy statistics on the supply of major fuels, pricing information and greenhouse gas emissions. Each section contains summary tables and graphs showing latest quarterly figures and trends.

The latest edition includes data through to the end of the March 2008 quarter. It can be accessed online free of charge or you may subscribe to receive it via email.
The next edition is scheduled for release on 16 September 2008 and will include information to the end of June 2008.
