OECD Review of New Zealand's Innovation System (2007)
In August 2007 the OECD released its review of New Zealand's innovation system. The review was undertaken at the request of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) and the Ministry of Science Research and Technology (MoRST) and was carried out by the OECD directorate for Science, Technology and Industry under the auspices of the Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy.
The review draws on material supplied by both MED and MoRST and on a number of interviews with major stakeholders in New Zealand's innovation system. The results of the review were announced by the Prime Minister, Helen Clark with Research, Science and Technology Minister Steve Maharey and Minister of Economic Development Trevor Mallard, to representatives of the business and science sectors in August 2007.
