Government Procurement Development Group (GPDG)
The Government Procurement Development Group (GPDG) is part of the Industry and Regional Development Branch of the Ministry of Economic Development (MED).
GPDG is a centre of advice and expertise for New Zealand government procurement. It provides policy advice in both a domestic economic policy context (competitive markets, business/small and medium sized enterprises (SME) development) and an international context (trade obligations and objectives). GPDG is responsible for whole-of-government procurement co-ordination, best practice capability development, and the administration of the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) [external link].
