Sector and Regional Initiatives Fund
A $3 million fund has been established to support sectoral and regional projects associated with Buy Kiwi Made. The initial funding round of up to $1.5 million is now open and will close on 2 March 2007.
The Buy Kiwi Made Sector and Regional Initiatives Fund (the fund) is part of the $11.5 million government Buy Kiwi Made programme. It is a contestable fund that will support individual sector and regional initiatives that promote the concept of Buy Kiwi Made and the profile of Buy New Zealand Made Campaign Ltd by increasing awareness of the quality and value of New Zealand made goods for domestic consumers.
A second round, of up to $1 million will follow in October 2007, and in March 2008 there will be a final round for $0.5 million with any underspend from previous rounds.
