Request for Proposals to Hold Petroleum Reserves



On 15 November 2005, the Ministry of Economic Development released a request for proposals (RFP), inviting proposals from companies to hold petroleum reserves on behalf of the Government. The RFP was designed to find out what options are available to meet New Zealand's petroleum reserve needs. In December, the Ministry also released an addendum to the RFP (see below) and extended the due date for proposals to 15 February 2006.

Also available is a draft contract that was to form the basis for a standard general agreement for the supply and storage of petroleum reserves, a draft security agreement, and a draft ticketing agreement.

Request for Proposals: Provision of Petroleum Reserves for the New Zealand Government  [ Published 15 November 2005 ]
The New Zealand Government invites proposals from companies to hold Petroleum Reserves on behalf on the Crown. This RFP indicates the Crown's requirements and provides guidance on key parameters that companies should use in submitting proposals.

Addendum to Request for Proposals: Provision of Petroleum Reserves for the New Zealand Government  [ Published 22 December 2005 ]
Since the release of the RFP, MED has considered some further matters which may assist the Crown in meetings its objectives. MED considers that these variations are of a significance that all companies should be notified as soon as possible.
