The BLRB 2006 was introduced to the House on 27 June and passed its first reading on 19 July 2006. The Bill contains financial reporting and credit union reforms, as well as amendments to the Companies Act, Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act and two insurance-related Acts. This is the third such Bill aimed at making incremental improvements to business laws.

• Business Law Reform Bill 2006
  The Business Committee of the House has agreed to the introduction of this Bill under Standing Order 264(c). The Government wants the law affecting the operation of business to be clear, efficient, and effective.
• Cabinet Paper: Amendments to the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, the Companies Act 1993, and the Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953
  This proposal is a technical amendment that would allow the Minister to specify that new rates of anti-dumping and countervailing duty apply from either the day after the date of the Minister's decision or a specified date.
