International visitor survey
The International Visitor Survey (IVS) measures the travel patterns and expenditure of international visitors to New Zealand. Data includes expenditure, places visited, activities/attractions, accommodation and transport.
The Ministry has recently redeveloped the IVS as part of Tourism Data Improvement Programme.

The Ministry is in the process of developing an online database for the dissemination of the revised IVS data along with its other tourism series. The following historical tables are based on the earlier IVS and contains data up to year-end June 2013.
