Cyber security
The Ministry has a lead role in developing cyber security policy advice for government. It does this in partnership with other government agencies and key stakeholders.
Fast broadband
New Zealand is undertaking two large initiatives to extend broadband internet infrastructure.
Radio Spectrum
The Ministry is responsible for providing policy advice to Government on the allocation of New Zealand's radio spectrum, and administering the Radiocommunications Act 1989 and the supporting Radiocommunications Regulations 2001.
