Influenza Pandemic Planning Information for Business Continuity

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that the current risk from bird flu becoming the next human influenza pandemic is high. The Ministry of Health (MoH) is currently updating its Pandemic Influenza Action Plan and is leading government-wide work to prepare for a possible pandemic in New Zealand.
This site contains two separate sets of information to assist business continuity planning for influenza pandemics.
- A Business Continuity Planning Guide, which contains a range of information designed for general use by businesses and other organisations in New Zealand.
- A Pandemic Planning Information Kit tailored for infrastructure providers in the energy, communications, transport, water and waste sectors. This contains a version of the Planning Guide and some associated documents to assist their planning.
