Intellectual property rights service centre
New Zealand is a member of APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), an intergovernmental group established to enhance economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Intellectual Property Experts' Group (IPEG) was established within APEC to co-ordinate work relating to intellectual property rights.
To improve the transparency of intellectual property rights and enforcement in the APEC region, member economies have been encouraged to set up virtual IPR Service Centres.
These centres will provide a useful resource for people wanting to find out more about APEC members’ intellectual property regimes, including:
- Relevant laws
- Regulations
- Helpful contacts.
