The companies Act sets out the requirements for the incorporation, organisation and operation of companies.

 

Regulatory Reform Bill

The Regulatory Reform Bill, which is currently awaiting its second reading, contains a number of amendments to legislation with the objective of reducing the compliance burden on business by amending ineffective or costly regulation. The Bill includes changes to the Companies Act to allow companies and their shareholders to use electronic means for communications, holding meetings and voting.
