We administer various legislation relating to the operation of companies and financial services in New Zealand.
Companies Act
The companies Act sets out the requirements for the incorporation, organisation and operation of companies.
Limited Partnerships Act
A limited partnerships regime for New Zealand was established in 2008 to help encourage the flow of venture capital investment into New Zealand.
Registration of Financial Service Providers
We administer the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act.
Personal Property Securities Law
The Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA) was passed in 1999, and came into force on 1 May 2002.
