Better Public Services for Business
Better Public Services for Business aims to significantly improve the way businesses across New Zealand work with government.
The programme will deliver the ninth result of the Better Public Services Programme and will provide businesses with a one stop online shop for all the government advice and support businesses need to run and grow.
The aim of this result is to focus government’s work on the needs of business, not what suits government agencies.
We will achieve this through three key actions:
- Create services that are designed for business
- Deliver faster online services
- Achieve better integration across government.

In March 2012 the Prime Minister announced the Better Public Services Programme, which detailed 10 challenging results for the public service to achieve in the next three to five years.
The ninth result is to establish a one stop online shop for all the government support and advice businesses need to run and grow their business.
Result 9: New Zealand businesses have a one-stop online shop for all government advice and support they need to run and grow their business.
Targets and more information will be part of the Result Action Plan, to be released later this year with the other nine Better Public Services result action plans.
Regulatory reform
The programme Better Public Services for Business builds on the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment’s previous work of reforming regulation that impacts businesses in New Zealand.
