General Manager, New Zealand Petroleum & Minerals
I have more than 30 years of international experience in the energy industry.
Prior to relocating to New Zealand from Scotland, I was Managing Director of the United Kingdom’s Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO), where I led work to raise safety and environmental standards in the industry.
My previous roles also include General Manager for BP Alternative Energy in Abu Dhabi (2004-2009), Organisation Development Leader for BP’s chemicals division in Europe (1999-2004), and Manufacturing Team Leader for BP Grangemouth in Scotland (1982-1999).
I began my career as a mechanical engineer in the oil industry.
